HALAL FLIGHT (AIRLINES WITH SHARIA COMPLIANT MEALS)

A Halal flight is defined by a travel segment that makes available sharia compliant food during the trip. A halal in-flight meal is food prepared and handled in compliance with Islamic dietary law from end to end: sourcing of ingredients (no pork or derivatives, no alcohol), slaughter methods for meat and poultry meeting halal requirements, segregated preparation in certified kitchens, and sealed, traceable delivery to the aircraft galleys.

On board, halal trays remain clearly labeled and separate utensils/packaging are maintained to prevent cross-contamination. Airlines may serve halal by default (particularly in Muslim-majority carriers) or provide a Muslim Meal (MOML) as a special-order option.
